Always backup before try these. Do whatever you like to this file contents.. have fun. Just gimme a line if you copy this to yer editing tips or whatever and post up somewhere. I do respect cory rights :P Please no questions, complains, etc.. I'm lazy for reply mails. Contact : opfer_gv@yahoo.com - Where to hack in? First, open save file 'anyname.fit' in C:\program files\microsoft games\mechcommander2\data\savegame - by default -, with text editor (notepad or wordpad.. etc), pretty simple. If you saved some mech configuration, you might need to go down a bit (or more) to find what you want. (If you just saved after 1st mission, it will make things easier, make sure you didnt saved any mech config) For add mechs, you need to go down to end of files. You can change - C-bills, pilot stats (gunnery, piloting, special skills, medals, dead/live), add some weps and any mechs For pilot stats, start with 'pmw's are where used in campaign. Not the 'pmp'. - Get extra weapons and pilots *New* Add following lines after [AdditionalPurchaseFiles] for add weapons choise for configuration (not mechs, not all weapons but some....) and some additional pilots. Anything else is related to mission progress... I think. st File0 = "data\missions\PurBonus08.fit" -> Get pilot 'Claymore' st File1 = "data\missions\PurBonus11.fit" -> Get all Clan energy weapons, SWARM LRM st File2 = "data\missions\PurBonus13.fit" -> Get pilot 'Payback' st File3 = "data\missions\PurBonus21.fit" -> Get Thunderbolt Missile st File4 = "data\missions\PurBonus19.fit" -> Get some of Elite (if you havent changed yet) pilots st File5 = "data\missions\PurBonus20.fit" -> Get Long Tom Cannon - Buff up pilots If you change gunnery and piloting skill, pilot rank will automaticaly changed to that level. So please add skills before or after changed gunnery and piloting skill. In game, gunnery and piloting skill max is 80 for each. A pilot can use all 23 skills, just change it all to TRUE. *** Except 'Claymore', he tend to start with normal stats , even you have changed... (because of rescue mission) leave some gaps in skills or you have to shut down games at promotion, or change him after mission *** Weapon skills will add accuracy bonus, Mech skills for less damage taken when piloting certain mech class, Sensor will add more info in sendor range, jumpjet will let you jump farther, scout will give pilot better line of sight, toughness will make you pilot survive injury, sharp shooting will make pilot easy to destory certain mech parts (head arms and legs, if you order 'called shots'). For more skill info, look at in games. Following list is for easier skill change. (print out or alt+tab...) (change FALSE to TRUE - in CAPITAL letter- , if you like to disable certain skill, do reverse, TRUE to FALSE) *** I didn't bother on medals, its just for decoration, I think *** Regular skills: Skill 0 - Light class mech Skill 1 - Laser Skill 2 - Light autocannon Skill 3 - Medium autocannon Skill 4 - Streak SRM Skill 5 - Small arms Skill 6 - Sensor Skill 7 - Toughness Veteran Skills: Skill 8 - Medium class mech Skill 9 - Pulse laser Skill 10 - ER laser Skill 11 - LRM Skill 12 - Scout Skill 13 - Jump jet Elite Skills: Skill 14 - Heavy class mech Skill 15 - PPC Skill 16 - Heavy autocannon Skill 17 - Short range Skill 18 - Medium range Skill 19 - Long range Ace skills: Skill 20 - Assault class mech Skill 21 - Gauss rifle Skill 22 - Sharp shooter - Add any mechs in list, yer own way *New* To add mechs in yer list (not the shopping list), add following lines at end of save files. [Inventory0] st Chassis = "data\objects\somemech.csv" st Variant = "Somemech Prime" b Designer = TRUE Rename somemech.csv with what you need. No space. E.g Blood Asp -> bloodasp Except -> flea.csv (Fire Ant) and werewolf.csv (Razorback) After you added mechs, you must adjust 'Inventorycount' at [General] section l InventoryCount = X <- X to numbers you have in list, if you have 6, change to 6
